Viking River Cruises have been successfully operating throughout Europe, Russia and Asia for the last 10 years. In that time they have welcomed on board over half a million passengers to their purpose built fleet of river cruise ships and are the world's most popular river cruise company.
During this time they have won a number of awards for their river cruise programme including "Best River Cruise Line" 3 years in a row at the British Travel Awards, as voted for by the British public.
Fully Inclusive Experience
Viking pride themselves on the all-inclusive value of their cruises. Each holiday includes scheduled flights and transfers together with full board, wine with lunch and dinner and a full excursion programme.
Viking own and manage every aspect of your cruise including the technical and nautical operations, including the all important pontoons which allow the ships to dock in the heart of the cities you are visiting and all staff.
Introducing the Viking Longship
As well as the standard river cruise design, the type of ships on offer now include the unique Viking Longships which cruise on the Rhine and the Danube and feature full balcony staterooms and the unique Aquavit al fresco dining terrace. These ships are the largest on the rivers and hold 190 guests.
Designed by legendary naval architects Yran & Storbraaten, the team behind The Yachts of Seabourn, these new vessels offer state-of-the-art engineering, and utmost luxury. The Viking Longships provide guests with more ways to personalize their trip. Choose from a variety of stateroom classes, onboard entertainment options and ship locations from which you can enjoy sailing through the scenery, all the while enriching your time in some of Europe's most remarkable destinations.
Enjoy the indoor-outdoor Aquavit Terrace at the bow of the ship, or relax on the Sun Deck. These "green" ships, featuring energy-efficient hybrid engines, solar panels and an organic herb garden, were named to honor prominent members of the Norse pantheon. Each ship carries 190 guests in comfortable, understated elegance, with hotel-style beds and amenities like 26-inch flat-panel TVs and in-room refrigerators.
Take a Tour of the Accommodation
With 23 ships to choose from on the Rhine, Danube, Elbe, Saone, Rhone, Douro, Main, Seine, Dnieper, Russian waterways, Yangtze and the Mekong there is sure to be a Viking Ship and an itinerary that you will enjoy.
