Today, enjoy an optional excursion to the famous Abbey at Cluny. Founded in 910, this Benedictine Abbey was the nerve-centre of monastic reform in the Middle Ages and boasts a church that remained the world's largest until the 16th century. After lunch back on board, cruise towards Vienne.

Overlooking the Rhône, the town of Vienne was once Rome's major wine port. This morning, enjoy free time to explore the Roman monuments and medieval churches or join the optional tour, to see the Romanesque Cathedral of St Maurice. This afternoon, take the opportunity to relax on board as you cruise along the Rhône towards Arles and continue the journey through the night.

After breakfast, explore Arles on an optional tour. This stunning town has a spectacular Roman arena and associations with Van Gogh. Stroll the winding streets and see the 20,000-seater Les Arenes stadium, which once hosted chariot and gladiator contests. From here, head into the Provençal countryside to learn how the region's prized olive oil is produced. This afternoon, perhaps join an optional excursion into the Camargue, the river delta of the Rhône. This nature reserve is host to the famous Camargue ponies and an incredible array of birdlife. Enjoy free time in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. After dinner on board there is a colourful Provençal folklore show.

Set sail early this morning towards Avignon. A stunning medieval town once the home of Popes, Avignon is famed for its arched bridge immortalised in the well-known song. An optional sightseeing tour takes in the mighty City of Popes citadel, whose court once attracted Europe's artists and intellectuals, and the famous bridge, standing in its shadow. After lunch cruise towards Viviers; built on a hillside, the quaint town is a jumble of cobbled lanes and stone houses built around a 12th-century cathedral. Why not round off today with an optional tour, exploring the maze-like streets and enjoying views over the river?

This morning, arrive in Tournon and either join an included wine tasting experience or see the attractions of the town on an audio-tour by sightseeing train, visit the Castle Museum, and sample the famous locally producted wines and delicacies. Later, return to your ship for a gala dinner.

This river cruise is operated by CroisiEurope, a family owned French business oprerating a fleet of 27 ships on Europe's rivers. The MS Camargue was fully overhauled for 2015 with larger cabins, upper deck French balconies and improved public areas. Certain dates may be operated on other CroisiEurope vessels which may not have been renovated. Standards of service and inclusions are identical however cabains tend to be smaller and may not have French balconies on the upper deck, please ask us for details.
Facilities on board include a lounge-bar with a dance floor, dining room, large sun deck with deckchairs, gift shop, 220V electricity and air-conditioning.
Cabins feature twin/double beds, private en suite facilities, radio, TV, hairdryer and safe. Main deck cabins have on large panoramic window and one smaller one those on the Upper deck have floor to ceiling sliding glass doors.
Your cruise is full board, with fine French cuisine and complimentary drinks available all day. The dining room is large enough to accommodate all guests at one sitting. Breakfasts are buffet style, while lunch and dinner have set menus, usually including a choice of regional specialities and traditional favourites. Aperitifs, coffee and digestifs are available in the lounge bar.
Vegetarian meals and any special dietary requirements should be requested at the time of booking. There is an evening programme of entertainment and a welcome cocktail on the first night. While on board you will be looked after by the ship's hostess and purser.
