Day 1: Berlin

Passengers are welcome to board our ship in Berlin (Spandau) starting at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. We'll remain in port overnight.

Day 2: Berlin - Nedlitz - Wüsterwitz

After breakfast you can enjoy an optional tour of Berlin, once the iconic representation of a world divided in two. After our visit, we'll return to our ship and cruise towards Nedlitz. You'll discover the idyllic charm of the lakes formed by the Havel River as we glide past the Pfaueninsel and admire its historical buildings. After lunch an optional tour will depart to visit to the gardens at the Sanssouci Palace, once the residence of Frederick the Great. We'll return on board in the evening, and begin to cruise towards Wüsterwitz. Enjoy an evening of entertainment on board. We'll remain in port overnight.

Day 3: Wüsterwitz - Magdeburg

Our ship will leave early in the morning for Magdeburg. Take advantage of your free time this morning while we cruise to admire the landscapes or participate in our onboard activities. We'll arrive in Magdeburg at the beginning of the afternoon and leave for an optional visit of the city, situated midway on the Elbe River and also on the historic Roman Roads. The Lutheran Cathedral of Saints Catherine and Maurice is the highest church building in eastern Germany. We'll then return onboard to continue our cruise. Tonight's dinner will be followed by an evening of dancing on board. Our ship will cruise through the night.

Day 4: Lutherstadt Wittenberg - Elster

Once we arrive in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, you can join an optional guided tour of the city, where Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the door of a church and sparked the Reformation. You'll discover the city centre and its noble Renaissance-style houses. We'll visit Luther's house, a former Augustinian monastery which is now the Reformation Museum and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We return on board in Elster, and spend the afternoon cruising. Tonight will be CroisiEurope Quiz Night. Our ship will cruise through the night.

Day 5: Meissen - Dresden

This morning you can join an optional guided tour of the city or Meissen, famous for its trademark porcelain. Discover how the porcelain has been made for more than 300 years and admire the magnificent pieces displayed in the museum. We'll then head for the city center to see the outside of the Albrechtsburg and the cathedral. Return on board in Dresden known as the "Florence of the Elbe". Explore the city on your own or join an optional guided tour. A relatively recent city with Slavic origin, Dresden became the capital of the Margravate of Meissen in the 13th century and the seat of the Dukes of Saxony in the 15th century. Its breathtaking architectural and artistic heritage makes it one of the most important tourist destinations in Germany. Tonight's dinner will be followed by an evening of dancing on board. We'll remain in port overnight.

Day 6: Dresden - Bad Schandau - Lovosice

Our ship will begin to cruise early in the morning for Bad Schandau. On arrival, you may take an optional excursion to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Discover the Königstein Fortress, overlooking the Elbe and one of the largest hilltop fortresses in Europe. Thought to have been built in the 13th century, it was for centuries used as a state prison. We'll then stop at the Bastei rock formation towering above the Elbe and formed by water erosion over one million years ago. Back on board, we continue to cruise through the magnificent Saxon Switzerland area (which really is a part of Germany) gliding by the prairies, woods, lakes, vineyards and castles. Enjoy an evening of entertainment on board. We'll remain in port overnight.

Day 7: Lovisice - Litomerice - Prague

Our ship will leave early in the morning for Litomerice. On arrival you may join an optional tour of one of the oldest Bohemian cities, established in the 10th century on the site of a Slavic fort. The multi-colored Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance buildings in the city center are not to be missed. We'll return on board in Horin and spend the afternoon cruising towards Prague. There will be table shuffleboard games and other activities on board this afternoon. As evening draws on we cruise into Prague, the beautiful Czech capital. We'll remain in port overnight.

Day 8: Prague

Explore Prague on your own or choose to join an optional tour of Prague's Old Town. Staré Město dates back more than 1,000 years and is one of the most important places in Bohemian history. While strolling through the streets, you'll discover the Jewish Quarter, the town hall, the infamous astronomical clock, and the Church of Mother of God in front of Týn. The afternoonan optional visit is offered to the Prague Castle area: a collection of a half dozen palaces, several churches and monasteries, and gardens overlooking the city. We'll see Saint Vitus Cathedral, the most recognizable landmark in the city, the Prague Castle, and the Golden Lane. Tonight will be our gala dinner and evening. We'll remain in port overnight.

MS Elbe Princesse


Overview

CroisiEurope are a family owned French business oprerating a fleet of specially designed ships on Europe's rivers and canals.

The Elbe Pricesse has been specially designed for the Elbe and Vltava rivers allowing it to sail all the way into Prague throughout te year. Propelled by a rear mounted paddle wheel the vessel has a much lower draught than than others makint it very much more able to cope with the changing levels of the Elbe and Vltava.

Facilities on board include a lounge-bar with a dance floor, restaurant, large sun deck with deckchairs and Loungers and a gift shop. The vessel is air-conditioned throughout and also features free wifi on board.

Cabins on all decks are a similar size at approximately 150 sq.ft. and feature twin/double beds, en suite facilities, flat screen TV, hairdryer and safe. Cabins on the upper deck have small outside balconies whilst those on the main deck have large twin windows.


Dining

Your cruise includes full board dining and an inclusive drinks package comprising wine, beer and fruit juices with meals, tea and coffee and drinks from the bar (excludes champagne and drinks from the wine list). The dining room is large enough to accommodate all guests at one sitting. Breakfasts are buffet style, while lunch and dinner have set menus, usually including a choice of regional specialities and traditional favourites. Aperitifs, coffee and digestifs are available in the lounge bar.

Vegetarian meals and any special dietary requirements should be requested at the time of booking. There is an evening programme of entertainment and a welcome cocktail on the first night. While on board you will be looked after by the ship's hostess and purser.
