CroisiEurope offer you the unique opportunity to tour the fabulous Loire valley on their custom designed paddle ship, the Loire Princesse. With its fairytale Chateaux, world famous wines and rich cultural heritage this really is a fabulous area of France.
Board in Nantes between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. Crew presentation and welcome drink followed by Dinner on board. Perhaps enjoy an optional cruise along the Erdre which King Francois I called the "most beautiful river in France".
After breakfast you can enjoy an optional tour of Nantes (must be reserved prior to departure), the city of the Dukes of Brittany, and the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany. Enjoy lunch on board and spend the afternoon cruising to the Atlantic coast at Saint Nazaire. Alternatively you may choose to join an optional tour of Saint Nazaire, departing Nantes by coach you begin with the Escal'Atlantique, tracing the history of this famous port and its ocean liners before, touring the shipyard.

The vessel sets sail early morning arriving in Ancenis early afternoon where the ship moors overnight for an evening of music and dancing. This afternoon there is an optional excursion to the Muscadet wine region, discover its heritage and vineyards and sample a taste of this dry white wine at the cellars of Chateau Cassemichère (or similar).

This morning is spent cruising to Bouchemaine. Today there is an optional tour of Angers, capital of the historic Anjou region and home to the Plantagenets. Enjoy dinner onboard followed by an evening of entertainment provided by the crew. The ship moors in Bouchemaine overnight.

Today we take an included coach tour of the Loire valley. Visit the Château Azay-le-Rideau, built on an island in the Indre river, tour the lovely gardens of the Château Villandry, and finally the Château d'Ussé whose fortified towers inspired Charles Perault's The Sleeping Beauty. We return on board at Ancenis. Gala dinner on board followed by an evening of music and dancing. The ship sets sail during the evening for Nantes and continues through the night.

MS Loire Princesse
CroisiEurope are a family owned French business oprerating a fleet of specially designed ships on Europe's rivers and canals.
The Loire Pricesse has been specially designed for the Loire and is the first large River Cruise ships to cruise this lovely river.
Facilities on board include a lounge-bar with a dance floor, restaurant, large sun deck with deckchairs and Loungers and a gift shop. The vessel is air-conditioned throughout and also features free wifi on board.
Cabins on all decks are a similar size at approximately 150 sq.ft. and feature twin/double beds, en suite facilities, flat screen TV, hairdryer and safe. Cabins on the upper deck have small outside balconies whilst those on the main deck have large twin windows.
Your cruise includes full board dining and an inclusive drinks package comprising wine, beer and fruit juices with meals, tea and coffee and drinks from the bar (excludes champagne and drinks from the wine list). The dining room is large enough to accommodate all guests at one sitting. Breakfasts are buffet style, while lunch and dinner have set menus, usually including a choice of regional specialities and traditional favourites. Aperitifs, coffee and digestifs are available in the lounge bar.
Vegetarian meals and any special dietary requirements should be requested at the time of booking. There is an evening programme of entertainment and a welcome cocktail on the first night. While on board you will be looked after by the ship's hostess and purser.
