Your New Year’s cruise begins in Passau, a city located at the confluence of the Danube, Inn and Ilz rivers. After embarking, the cruise director invites you to a Welcome Cocktail, followed by a lovingly prepared Welcome Dinner in the Panorama Restaurant. In the meantime, your ship travels towards Vienna. Depart at 6pm
Day 2 - Vienna
The first stop of your wintery cruise is in the Austrian capital city, Vienna. Explore the magnificent buildings of the Danube metropolis during the course of an afternoon sightseeing tour and view the impressive sights of this former residence of the imperial Habsburg family. After this cultural experience, return to your ship, which will depart during the night and pass through Slovakia, arriving in Hungary the following day.

Day 2 Budapest (New Year's Eve)
At lunch time you arrive in the Hungarian capital city of Budapest, also aptly known as the “Queen of the Danube”. During a city sightseeing tour you can admire the countless cultural treasures of this magical city, followed by an evening cruise through a festively illuminated Budapest, together with a Hungarian folklore show on board.
Celebrate New Year on board in style while enjoying an excellent view of the spectacular fireworks from the sun deck!

Day 4 - Budapest (New Year's Day)
The morning of New Year’s Day is at your disposal, allowing you to enjoy it as you wish, for example by taking another stroll through the city and exploring it on your own. Alternatively, you may prefer to relax on board, enjoying the Panorama Bar and a relaxing walk around the sun deck. At lunch time, your ship leaves Budapest. Departure 1pm
Day 5 - Bratislava
During the night, your AMADEUS ship arrived in the Slovakian capital city of Bratislava, where you will spend the remainder of the day. Get to know this impressive Danube city during the course of a sightseeing trip in a comfortable tour bus, which will take you to the famous castle hill and the picturesque old town. An elegant Captain’s Gala Dinner awaits you in the evening, and in the meantime, your floating premium hotel weighs anchor and returns to Austria.

Day 6 - Melk & Emmersdorf
Spend the morning on board, enjoying the impressive views of the passing winter landscapes while your ship travels downriver into the UNESCO World Natural Heritage region of the Wachau. At midday you will reach Melk/Emmersdorf, where you have the opportunity of joining an excursion to Melk Abbey and Dürnstein. At the end of the excursion you will have the opportunity to sample some of the famous Wachau wines. Thereafter you return to your ship and begin the last stage of your cruise.

Day 7 - Passau
After a generous breakfast on board, it is time to disembark and the entire AMADEUS crew wishes you a pleasant homeward journey and all the best for the coming year! Arrival 9.30am
The Amadeus Queen, the 15th river cruise ship of the Austrian ship operator, will tour the Danube, Rhine and Main rivers as well as Dutch and Belgian waterways from spring 2018. Similar to its prominent predecessors, this ship will also continue the company’s orientation to high quality river cruises in Europe.
This new vessel follows the award-winning model of the Amadeus Silver ships but offers even further innovative developments. The popular concept of spaciousness has been maintained. This includes not only generous public areas but also spacious cabins: 12 large suites impress with an outdoor balcony and a cozy reading corner whilst the 69 standard cabins mainly have panoramic window fronts which can be automatically lowered and luxurious bathrooms. A new on-board highlight is the indoor pool, the roof of which can be opened in fine weather. In the evenings, this area may also be used for informative talks, functions and cinema showings. Amadeus operate bilingual cruises (English/German), meaning that all announcements, menus and daily programme, etc. will be provided in both languages. All excursions are operated with English speaking guides.

Escape with the view from your state-of-the-art panoramic window on the Strauss and Mozart decks that extends across the entire width of the cabin. Automatically lower the windows to make the stateroom become it’s own balcony. Included are all the necessary details: a flat screen TV, WiFi, cabinet, seating area, a safe, and the Amadeus Signature Bed and en-suite bathroom with shower and WC.
Staterooms are located on all decks. The Mozart and Strauss Decks include the innovative French Balcony.
These 12 carefully designed suites with a lounge area, offer outdoor seating to sip your morning coffee and 284 sq ft of space to relax. Included are the little luxuries as well as the Amadeus Signature Bed, a large luxurious bathroom with shower & WC, WiFi, a flat screen TV, a safe and a minibar.
