Make your way to London Heathrow for your flight to Vietnam.

Day 2 - Arrive Hanoi

Tonight, stay at the beautiful Mövenpick Hotel followed by enjoying a delicious Welcome Dinner at KOTO on Van Mieu.

On arrival in Vietnam’s dynamic capital, Hanoi, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to the beautiful Mövenpick Hotel.

Known for its centuries-old architecture, picturesque pagodas and rich history, take in the iconic sights of Hanoi on a guided tour, including the historic French-colonial Ba Dinh Square and final resting place of the well-respected Vietminh leader Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely rickshaw ride through the bustling city streets and charming colonial architecture of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, located within its thriving major commercial district.

Later this evening, explore the exciting city and enjoy dinner at your leisure.

Known for its picturesque emerald waters and towering limestone islands, board your premium Bhaya Cruises junk for a two-night cruise on the World Heritage-listed Ha Long Bay.

After breakfast, travel to Ha Long. Enjoy a Welcome Drink as you set off to sail among a spectacular scatter of islands. Have lunch on board as you set off cruising. Visit the fascinating Dark & Bright Lagoon by bamboo boat.

Back on board this evening, enjoy a delicious dinner and a range of entertainment options before retiring to your cabin for the night.

Later, explore Surprise Cave, one of the biggest caves in Ha Long Bay with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites.

This morning, explore Ti Top Island before docking back at Ha Long and transfer to Hanoi for your included flight to Da Nang followed by a transfer to Hoi An.

Later today, relax in the lakeside surrounds of Pilgrimage Village.

See the stunning white sanded Lang Co Beach before then traversing the impressive 21km long twisting Hai Van Pass. Later, arrive into Hue and visit the walled fortress and palace, the Imperial City, the former imperial capital of Vietnam.

Today, board your included flight to Ho Chi Minh City, commonly known as Saigon. Here, spend time exploring southern Vietnam’s famous, vibrant and thrilling city of Ho Chi Minh City at your leisure today. Perhaps take an exciting Jeep military tour; an impressive shopping tour; explore the lively and buzzing city on a guided tour; or enjoy a Vietnamese cooking class.

Day 11 - Cu Chi Tunnels, Ho Chi Minh City

This morning take a step back in time and revisit the military history of the area. Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, built by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the Vietnam War.

Part of a larger network, the tunnels were used by Viet Cong guerrillas as hiding spots during combat. They also served as communication and supply routes, hospitals, weapons caches and living quarters for numerous guerrilla fighters.

Nowadays, Cu Chi has since become a place of pilgrimage, offering a unique hands-on historic engagement.

Take a local boat to the town of Cai Be. Go ashore to see Cai Be’s French Gothic Cathedral and a visit to a local rice paper manufacturer to learn how rice paper is made.

Visit floating markets, then cruise to Sa Dec. Here, you’ll see Huynh Thuy Le’s old house (once the lover of French writer Marguerite Duras, the namesake of the RV La Marguerite) and visit a Cao Dai Temple.

Day 13 - Cai Be, Sa Dec

Day 14 - Tan Chau, Border Crossing

Transfer to a small boat for a journey along the tiny tributaries that snake around Tan Chau, step ashore for a rickshaw tour and visit a local island.

Spend the remainder of the day on board as your ship cruises to the Cambodian border. Offering views, reclining lounges, a swimming pool and cold drinks from the bar, the Sun Deck is a great place to relax.

This afternoon, you might like to attend a fruit-carving demonstration by the ship’s chef while border formalities are carried out and you cross into Cambodia. Tonight, perhaps watch a documentary about Pol Pot, leader of the Khmer Rouge, as your ship cruises towards Phnom Penh.

Today join an excursion to the infamous Killing Fields and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, on the site of the Khmer Rouge’s notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21).

Here, you’ll learn of the atrocities inflicted upon Cambodians during Pol Pot’s regime in the mid-to-late 1970s. Later this afternoon in Phnom Penh, a tour takes you to visit the Royal Palace. You’ll also see the opulent and extravagant Silver Pagoda, located within the Royal Palace complex.

After dinner, perhaps step out for an evening walk around the capital.

Today enjoy time at leisure in Phnom Penh. Later, cruise to Koh Chen, a village specialising in the manufacture of copperware.

Here, you’ll visit some small family home-workshops and have the opportunity to buy souvenirs.

Day 17 - Oudong, Kampong Tralach

Take an authentic ox-cart ride, also know a “Khmer Limousine”, a popular method of transport in rural Cambodia.

Travel to the former royal capital of Oudong for a traditional Buddhist blessing.

Today, disembark in Prek K’dam before you travel by coach to Oudong. Continue to Kampong Tralach and enjoy a small boat excursion of the lush wetlands.

Enjoy a boat excursion into the watery streets near the river port town that is Kampong Chhnang, before casting off to Prek K’dam.

This morning, disembark in Prek K’dam, where floating villages line the tributaries of this stunning region. Where quaint towns and sleepy villages lend the Mekong a unique charm, transfer to Siem Reap.

Meet with underprivileged children at Opportunities of Development thru Art (ODA), and get a glimpse into the organisation that supports them by providing a creative, educative and loving environment.

This evening, stay in the beautiful and sophisticated Shinta Mani Resort, centrally located in the leafy French Quarter.
