Serbia is located at the crossroads between central, southern and eastern Europe, and is bordered by no fewer than seven neighboring countries: Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, the Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Belgrade
Belgrade, capital of Serbia. The only European capital built at the confluence of two rivers, The Danube and Save Rivers the city has been fought over numerous times, most recently during the Second World War and the Kosovo War.
